The Role:

As a Project Officer in the CFM Technical Team you will be responsible for overseeing projects, planned preventative maintenance of building fabric and reactive service requests for Corporate Facilities Management’s (CFM) contractors across the non-housing estate. It will be imperative that projects for the division are delivered on time, within budget and at the required quality.

You will work collaboratively with cross functional project teams, facilities managers and external contractors to deliver cost effective, sustainable and compliant projects across the council’s property portfolio.

The post holder will required to undertake post project performance reviews, diagnostic inspections and surveys for repairs and maintenance, preparation of specifications, schedule of works and associated cost estimates in accordance with legislative standards, British / European Standards, Council Contract Standing Orders (CSOs) and CFM’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

About You:

As a major part of the job is working closely with the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing team, Building Surveyors and other FM stakeholders - you will have a positive and proactive attitude with an ability to positively influence wider team members and clients within the council.

You will be confident and competent in producing and presenting reports and information clearly and succinctly. The Technical Team is made up of a small pool of professionals that work hard to make improvements to the Southwark built environment, therefore a strong commitment to helping the team reach its targets is vital.
