Here in Southwark we are unique in that we have occupational therapists working in many teams; in Older Persons and Physical Disabilities, Telecare and Assistive Technology, Mental Health and Children’s Service.

About the role:

This is an innovative service that is determine to make adjustments to improve the lifestyle of their people in the community. We are also committed to providing the necessary developmental training to help progress your career with Southwark council.

As we improve our services we are now recruiting Occupational Therapy talent, who in particular, would like to develop their community skills.

We have a range of roles that we are looking to recruit to so join us and assess the needs of people living with disability and deliver interventions which improves wellbeing and quality of life, maximising independence and supporting people in the community.

About You

You will be;

HCPC registered OT with at least one UK recognised OT qualification and have an DBS.

You will have:

  • Knowledge of OT theory, specialist assessments and interventions
  • Experience of working with people with disabilities, including 1:1 work, identifying needs and planning and implementing treatment.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and with multiple agencies to facilities holistic assessments.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of using a range of Occupational Therapy solutions to promote independence.

Additional salary details

We have full time and part time working arrangements available.

The Occupational Therapist posts attracts an additional one-off recruitment and retention payment of £2300 per annum in 2023. Full terms are available upon request, but each case is based on the individual start date.
