The role
To provide comprehensive and high quality data support to Pension Services, which manages the administration of the Southwark Pensions Fund, part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), meeting required standards and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
The post holder will engage, using a range of techniques, with users at all levels to ensure data is accurate, robust, and of good quality, using best practice methods on data recording and that local protocols are in place.
To work as part of Pension Services, developing and delivering a highly pro-active customer focused service whilst working within the Council’s framework of policy and procedures, as directed by Government legislation. To provide specialist advice and administrative support on data issues as required.
To produce management Information and standard and bespoke reports relating to the LGPS to meet Southwark business needs and statutory requirements. To provide data and information for the Government, LGA, and other relevant organisations such as The Pensions Regulator.

About You:
The Southwark Pension Fund is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (the scheme) and is the largest pension fund in London in terms of scheme membership, with net assets of £1.53 billion.
As part of an ongoing commitment in digital technology and business transformation, Pension Services is at the start of an exciting new journey around future pension provision, service excellence and engagement with scheme members and other stakeholders.
The Pension Services team manages the administration of the Southwark Pensions Fund.
The data/systems section within Pension Services will be responsible for managing data flow within Southwark Council and external employers/schools within the council, ensuring that pension data is accurate and complete.
