The role
The Role:
The Youth & Play Service are responsible for providing positive activities borough wide for young people aged 11 to 19 years (25 years with SEN) as well as delivery of Adventure Playgrounds for children aged 8 to 15 years. These services are provided in a variety of building based youth centres and adventure playgrounds across the borough.
The post holder will be responsible for the smooth and effective management and functioning of the business support function to ensure the highest standard of service, systems and structures are provided to support operational functions of the Service. This will include centrally coordinating all key performance indicator reporting requirements, supporting the administration of small grants, and overseeing the safety and safe opening of our buildings for users, staff, visitors and hirers.

About You:
The post holder will liaise with the corporate facilities management (CFM) team and external services to provide efficient and effective building related facilities services ensuring the youth and play sites’ working environment fully supports the Council’s plans and ambitions for the Service.
The post holder will at times work independently and will receive regular supervision to enable delivery of high quality, modern and customer focused services to young people in the Borough.
