The role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Investigations Officer to join our Performance and Delivery team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that workplace investigations are conducted fairly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive and compliant workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and resolving issues through comprehensive investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough, impartial investigations into a range of workplace issues including employee complaints, misconduct, grievances, and policy violations.
  • Interview employees, gather relevant evidence, and document findings in a clear, detailed, and objective manner.
  • Collaborate with HR, management, and legal teams to ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present investigation reports, outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in line with company policies, applicable laws, and industry standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality throughout the investigation process.
  • Provide advice and guidance on workplace issues to managers and employees, ensuring the fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Monitor trends and recommend proactive solutions to prevent workplace issues from escalating.

Additional details

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations or employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace policies, and investigation best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and tact.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple investigations simultaneously, working efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Certification in HR, Employee Relations, or Workplace Investigations is an advantage.
