Southwark Leisure Services operates across several sites, seven days a week from early morning to late night. There is a requirement for the post holder on occasions, to work outside normal office hours and at different venues to meet the needs of the service.

Can you help Southwark Council to shape our leisure service that supports all its residents to lead healthy lives?

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Water sports Instructor, you'll be the driving force behind customer loyalty and satisfaction in the Water sports department.

This is an exciting role to identify and support the development of our Water sports programme. The successful candidate needs to be passionate about Water sports and willing to go the extra mile to support our customers development, encourage healthy activity, and help reduce health inequalities in the borough.

The successful candidate will report to the Water sports Manager.

About You

  • You will need to ensure the efficient and effective operation of sessions, including equipment safety checks and the safety of participants.
  • Deliver teaching and coaching to the standards prescribed by the relevant Governing Body.
  • Complete tasks to ensure the standards of the facility meet customer and service expectations and improve the standards of the facility.
  • Support the centre’s work towards National Governing Body accreditation, Quest, RYA, ALAA and other relevant accreditations.
  • Champion in role and take personal responsibility for all hygiene and health and safety policy and procedures
  • Maintain mandatory qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training.
