The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Education professional who has a passion to promote the educational attainment of children looked after and children with a social worker. You will have a key role in coordinating the duties set out in guidance (Promoting the education of children with a social worker) under the leadership of the Virtual School Headteacher, ensuring that the council fulfils its responsibilities.

In this role, you will lead on the analysis and evaluation of key attendance and attainment data to ensure we set clear priorities and targets to improve the education of this vulnerable group of children.

You will work in partnership with multi-agency partners, including schools and social workers, to promote the inclusion of children with a social worker to ensure they reach their full potential in education. We are a cohesive workforce with senior level visibility and close support networks dedicated to your personal development.

About you:

To thrive in this post, you will have experience of developing strategy and driving innovation to improve outcomes across education and social care.

You will have experience of analysing, interpreting, and presenting quantitative and qualitative data, using it to monitor performance and to raise standards.

You should have experience of developing and delivering high quality and dynamic training to a range of partners across education and social care, including to senior leaders.

You will have a wide range of communication skills to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in the education sector.
