The role

As Tree Administration Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for all correspondence and enquiries relating to the Tree Service – from members of the public, local councillors, MPs and internal colleagues. Your role will ensure enquiries are handled efficiently, professionally and within corporate timescales.

You’ll support the day-to-day administration of our tree operations – issuing works orders, tracking progress, supporting budget management, and preparing performance reports. You'll also help coordinate internal communications, external stakeholder updates, and act as a key source of support for the Tree Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to enquiries and complaints relating to trees and parks services, including Member and MP enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Issue works and monitor service contracts, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and service standards.
  • Prepare and present reports, data summaries and briefing notes for managers and stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated, solutions-focused and passionate about excellent service delivery. You will bring:

  • Strong administrative experience, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with IT systems – including Excel, Word and other data/presentation tools.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
