The Role

This an opportunity to join the Finance & Governance, Anti-Fraud and Internal Audit Service on a 12 month secondment.

This is an excellent opportunity to start to train for a professional career.

You will provide administrative and investigative support to the manager and investigators within the Corporate Anti-Fraud Team. To assist in investigations and undertake initial review and enquires on proactive fraud work, for example in response to the National Fraud Initiative.

There will also be the opportunity for you to attend a course of study to attain a professional level of professional qualification from a designated learning provider.

 

About You:

We are looking for someone who has an enquiring mind and an eye for detail with the ability to meet challenging deadlines and objectives both personally and operationally. Good numeracy and IT skills are essential to perform this role. Knowledge of Southwark’s various IT systems.

Qualifications:- 

A minimum of 5 GCSEs including GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent qualifications

Whilst standard hours apply there may be occasions, with notice, when you will be required to support the team outside of these hours

This is a secondment for 12 months. The post will be advertised for a fixed permanent position in due course.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required due to the sensitive nature of the work.
