The Role
The SMART (Southwark Monitoring & Alarm Response Team) service has been described as the ‘4th emergency service’. In addition to the London Ambulance Service and Police, we work closely with colleagues in adult social care and health. We provide a service across Southwark and Lambeth Council areas. You will be required to install, maintain and programme specialist telecare equipment in clients homes. You will also provide a welfare response service to clients in crisis, ensuring that client safety is paramount at all times.
About You
- You will have excellent customer care skills and be able to work in a busy, faced paced environment. Experience of working with and supporting vulnerable people and knowledge of adult social care would be helpful.
- The ability to install and adjust Telecare devices (both analogue and digital) and basic DIY skills are also necessary.
- You will need to be flexible in your approach with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on your own, but also be part of a team. You must hold a full current UK driving license, able to drive in inner London You will be required to pass the Southwark Council driving Assessment test.

- This is an x2 full-time, permanent position
- Standard 36 hours Monday - Friday
- Enhanced DBS check required.
