The Role

The Southwark Telecare service is looking for 2 x assessment officers to join our established Telecare Team. You will bring your existing knowledge and expertise to provide an enhanced Telecare service to the wider Community. Technology Enabled Care is a growing and exciting sector within Social Care and offers opportunities for developing your skills and knowledge.

As an experienced assessor, you will complete Technology assessments in the community and identify creative solutions including the provision of Telecare, stand alone assistive technologies and Hearing Impairment home based Equipment to enable services users to remain in their own homes according to their wishes; and to promote independence, choice and well being and provide support to carers as appropriate.

This role commences at a crucial time in the move from analogue technology with the transition to digital technology and the opportunities this type of technology can offer

Your strong organisational, problem solving, IT and report writing skills will be essential in assessing service users needs and producing comprehensive reports. You will also participate in the Telecare Duty process and will need to be skilled at prioritising and screening new referrals.
