The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Practitioner to lead our Family Link. Family Link is a service for disabled children and their parents that links them with another family to provide regular short breaks. 

 Family Link is part of Southwark’s All Age Disability Service and as a Team Leader will be managing a small team of supervising social workers as well as leading the transformation and growth of the team so that more children, young people and families can benefit from the service. The team is based opposite Queens Road Peckham station offering great access to transport in the local area. As a Team Leader choosing Southwark you will benefit from: A practice framework underpinned by clear principles, which place the child at the centre of all we do, promoting strong partnership working with families, carers and ensure a strength-based approach grounded in relationship-based practice, small  teams with high managerial support – a lower ratio of workers to managers than most authorities. As well as monthly 1-1 supervision, Regular access to further support and targeted specialist interventions from systemic practitioners and psychologists, embedded within teams, A competitive salary  (this role is paid £40,491rising to £47,274), generous holiday allowance, good pension scheme and flexible working, Ongoing training and career development opportunities.
