The role

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your valuable skills and experience in a newly created Human Resources (HR) and Organisational Transformation (OT) Service.

As the Strategic Lead for HR Policy & Projects, you will lead, shape the design and development of the HR elements of the Workforce Strategy, leading and the delivery of relevant Workforce Strategy Projects and Programmes across Southwark, utilising the skills within the wider HR & Organisational Development (OD) Teams.

You will have a customer-driven approach with a commitment to understanding the employee lifecycle based on engagement with our workforce and stakeholders to deliver a refreshed employee value proposition embedded throughout the employee journey.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a fresh contemporary leadership style/approach to lead and develop the team and colleagues within the HR & OT community. You will be a skilled influencer who has worked with senior managers, members, and other stakeholders to develop and embed different approaches to resourcing with a strong emphasis on equalities and diversity and provide strategic business-led advice that supports all aspects of HR management. A sustainable track record of building effective partnerships with trade unions and leading on strategic negotiations and consultations on complex people management issues

You will also have extensive and practical experience of leading large change projects in at least two HR-related disciplines; OD, Business Partnering, Resourcing, Employee Relations, Reward, Equalities & Diversity.

Additional salary details

In addition to a competitive salary, this role attracts a JNC benefit package of £2724 PA / Pro rata dependent on start date.
