We have an amazing opportunity for a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner who will deliver and maintain a business focused HR service, working closely with the Strategic Director of Environment & Leisure.
Working with Southwark at an exciting time, you will be a strategic partner to both the council and HR in order to attract, retain and develop high calibre people to the organisation creating innovative people strategies as an integral part of Environment & Leisure's business strategy.
You will have the credibility and confidence together with a detailed understanding of a complex public sector organisation to work closely with, and coach, managers to meet their current and future people needs whilst always work to make Southwark more equal and just.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to play an integral part in delivering organisational and cultural change that we believe will help us achieve our vision for a Fairer Future for our residents.
About You:
You will be a highly regarded and effective HR Business Partner with an excellent track record in supporting Directors and senior managers and have demonstrable experience of driving a strategic, proactive approach to ensure people, equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and culture is at the start of business discussions and aligns to the annual business plans across all departments.
You will need to quickly build positive and effective relationships to deliver the best outcomes and ensure the HR team have a seat at the table, their finger on the pulse and are seen as trusted advisors by the business on all people matters.
You will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. The broad scope of the role requires a solutions-focused approach, supported by well-developed analytical planning, excellent practice knowledge and strong organisational skills. This role will require someone who is customer focused, has high standards of achievements and a curious approach to understanding and knowing the business and expertly apply that to people strategies.
