The Role:

Southwark Children’s Services provides leadership, support, challenge and guidance to a range of services and partners working to deliver improved outcomes for children, young people, and their families in Southwark. The division wants to strengthen its presence and develop a stakeholder engagement approach across the borough to ensure that we share key messages effectively, build a collaborative approach to sharing resources and finding solutions to borough-wide challenges, and celebrate success.

The Stakeholder Relationship Officer will ensure that our key stakeholders, both internal and external, are fully informed and participating in the delivery of our strategic and partnership goals. Information coming from the division will be recognisable and trusted, developing and enhancing the shared work of our key partners and services, and developing our reputation as a trusted partner.

This is an exciting, new role in a passionate, committed and busy team. It will give you the opportunity to bring your expertise and knowledge to shape how we communicate with our key stakeholders, including children and young people, parents and carers, schools and other children’s services settings, as well as with our workforce.

About You:

You will have experience in a stakeholder management role: planning, writing, editing and producing communications through a variety of print and online media. This will include experience of designing and managing content and writing impactful media content for a variety of audiences. You will be confident producing and using strategy relating to statistical and analytical reports.

You will be politically aware, and may have prior experience working in local government, or similarly complex organisation.

You will need to be confident using a range of IT products and programmes and have experience of using and producing strategy relating to statistical and analytical reports.

This post requires a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) DBS check at Enhanced level.
