The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed qualified Social Worker to join
Southwark’s Move On Support Team within the Mental Health Adult Social Care
department.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your social work skills as part
of an established and well-functioning team. As an experienced Social Worker, you
will benefit from regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your
knowledge and skills to perform your duties in this friendly Team.
The Move On Support Team sets out to explore real opportunities for adults placed in
various mental health accommodation (supported, residential and nursing settings).
We ensure that placements are continuing to meet needs, are recovery focused and
there are plans for eventual step down. Via strengths-based practice, our focus is to
maximise a person’s independence and choices, enabling people to live healthy, safe
and fulfilling lives and to meet our duties under the Care Act. We have the scope to
develop creative and innovative interventions to ensure service users are at the centre
of the support they receive.
About You:
- You will be a qualified social worker with experience in working with adults with mental
health problems and more importantly who live placement accommodations in order
to promote their independence.
- You will be based within a friendly, creative, collaborative and supportive department
at our impressive offices in Camberwell. We offer flexible working options. You will
be benefit from regular supervision, reflective practice as well as specialist training,
learning and development opportunities.
- The post holder may need to travel outside of London to visit placements.
