The Role:
Southwark Social Care are looking for confident and experienced Social Workers to join our Learning Disability Service (working with adults aged 25+). These services provide a comprehensive and integrated social care pathway for Adults care pathway, legislation and care and support.
As a Social Worker you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and effective integrated social work service to respond to the needs Adults with Learning Disabilities in accordance with Adult’s legislation. This will include undertaking statutory responsibilities including visits, reviews, reporting to court and complex safeguarding.
About You:
You will be expected to be able to undertake strength based social care assessments, determining the need of an individual and producing outcome focussed support plans. Ensuring focused interventions are delivered to safeguard and empower adults with learning disabilities
An ability to establish a rapport and build and maintain a professional, respectful and honest relationship with the service user and their family/carer is key to this role and in developing trust, assisting in safeguarding and promoting positive and timely outcomes for families.
