The Role

Make a Real Difference – Join Southwark’s Adult Social Work Services

Are you an enthusiastic and committed professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of older adults and people with physical disabilities?

Do you thrive in a supportive, innovative environment that embraces technology and collaboration?

If so, we’d love to hear from you.

At Southwark, our Adult Social Work Services are made up of diverse, dynamic teams dedicated to empowering residents to live independently and with dignity. We work across a range of specialisms – delivering person-centred care to adults with physical disabilities, older people, adults with dementia, and carers – supporting them to live with independence and dignity.

Why Join Us?

While agency work offers flexibility, many social workers are now choosing the long-term value of permanent roles — and Southwark is proud to offer just that.

Join us for:

  • greater career stability and job security
  • funded professional development and clear progression pathways
  • generous annual leave and pension contributions
  • flexible working and a supportive team culture
  • the opportunity to build lasting relationships with residents and make a real, lasting difference

You’ll also benefit from strong practice support, including access to our Principal Social Worker and Principal Occupational Therapist, and be part of a forward-thinking service that values innovation and continual improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be:

  • passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support
  • a team player who thrives in diverse, multi-disciplinary settings
  • open to new technologies and creative approaches
  • committed to ongoing learning, development, and career growth
  • a qualified Social Worker who has completed your ASYE and is confident in adult social care practice
  • experienced in working with older adults and people with physical disabilities, with a clear understanding of their specific needs and challenges
