The Role:

We are currently recruiting for 2 positions in the central support service.

X1 - Quality assurance Unit business support officer
x1 - Youth Justice service receptionist


We need X2 bright and experienced Service Support Officer to join our busy office based in Peckham and East Dulwich , where we strive to achieve good outcomes for children and families so it is important that you understand the work of children's Social Care.

One role is primarily to provide administrative support to the Child Protection and Child Looked After Children's process such as distribution of records, gathering personal information and maintaining our electronic system.

There will also occasionally be a need to provide front line cover and experience of looking after a demanding reception desk is essential. Within this role you will contribute to the achievement of providing quality customer care, as the first point of contact for clients and other agencies. Sensitivity and a professional approach in dealing with children and families facing difficult situations are essential.

The other role is to provide receptionist service to the youth justice service

In both roles you will be required to provide administrative support to other members of staff within the service and other departments in Children's Services therefore your organisational skills will be important as you will need to maintain a range of manual and computerised records, whilst keeping sensitive transfer of information confidential.

About You:

You will need experience of working within a paperless office system and working within statutory guidelines to ensure that service targets are met and a high standard is reached. Strong IT skills will help you manage the busy and varied duties of the service you will support

Additional salary details

The Salary is Pro Rata (if Job Share) and the Salary Scale is currently under review (Yearly increment is yet to be applied - under negotiation).
