Adult Social Care in Southwark has an annual budget of £120,000,000 and supports more than 3500 users of long term services and almost 7000 wider service users inclusive of that. The Adult Social Care Business plan focuses on 5 key elements:

The role:
Leading the division’s performance, development and quality functions. Using data effectively to maintain performance, support decision making, and to better support our residents.
Leading complex systems and organisational redesign projects and leading multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver organisational and cultural change across Adult Social Care and the Council.
To have oversight on the strategic drivers effecting Adult Social Care, working with partners and national agencies to support these priorities and provide high quality advice and guidance to senior leaders and politicians.
Leading a thorough review and relaunch of the Adult Social Care Vision and Business Plan. Collaboratively engaging with service users and stakeholders to ensure that it meets the needs and aspirations of those we support now and into the future.
Understanding Adult Social Care’s digital offer, developing our Digital Strategy and leading the division’s use of technology to support our service users and our staff.
About you:
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to lead transformation and champion new ways of working. You will have experience of engaging with diverse stakeholders and co-designing services. Experience of leading teams and building an adaptable work place culture and the ability to problem solve and make creative and effective decisions. You will bring effective communication skills to engage with people at all levels.

Additional information:
This is a permanent position with a salary range of £51,663 - £64,725 plus an additional JNC financial benefits package to the value of £2,724 per annum (pro-rata April to March and reviewed annually).
Strategic Managers (JNC) annual leave entitlement starts at 33 days, plus bank holidays.

The basic working hours for this role is 36 per week. Candidates should be aware that there is a requirement to attend meetings outside normal working hours wherever this is necessary for the effective performance of the job.
