The role

The Role:

The Service Development Manager is responsible for managing projects within major, complex, cross-departmental programmes.

The post holder will provide and secure expert capacity to drive strategic priorities, commissioning intentions, service redesign and operational delivery that make a measurable difference to outcomes to the Council.

The Service Development Manager will support and take direction from a board of Directors from across the Council.

About you:

We are looking for an exceptional Service Development Manager to support and oversee a number of cross-cutting programmes to deliver better services to residents and best value to the Council. The successful candidate: will have the ability to think strategically and be able to deliver operationally; have experience of managing complex change programmes, and the ability to engage confidently with a range of audiences.

Ensuring that you demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to lead the development of the principles of equality and diversity in employment and service delivery.

In return you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting projects in local government with the support and input from Directors across the Council.

 

Additional salary details

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract to cover the secondment of the current post holder.

This post also attracts a JNC Package of £2,724 per annum (pro-rata, April - March)
