The Role:

- To work as part of a team maintaining the integrity and availability of key systems used by Exchequer staff.

- To take responsibility for elements of day to day systems management, such as planning and managing software upgrades and releases, planning and coordinating system and subsidy reconciliations with audit, establishing and managing batch schedules etc.

- To provide technical expertise to support departmental projects and transformational change.

- To contribute to, and deputise for the Systems Team Leader in the management of, the day to day delivery of systems and applications which support the delivery of Exchequer Services.

- To support the service business needs through change and the development of projects initiated within the service that require technical expertise.

About You:

- Ability to provide a customer focused service 

- Operate to the highest standards of efficiency and accuracy 

- Ability to co-ordinate, plan and prioritise the workload and meet deadlines when faced with conflicting priorities 

- Have effective interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy and listening skills to enable development of working relationships with customers, colleagues and all stakeholders 

Additional salary details

This is a 6 month secondment opportunity. 

The post holder will be prepared to work outside normal hours, including weekends, when necessary.

A basic DBS certificate is required.
