At Southwark Council, we believe our greatest strength to be our people. Driven by values that promote openness, honesty, and accountability, we’re committed to ensuring our staff, residents, and communities are enabled to reach their full potential.

As a Senior Resourcing Partner in our newly established resourcing function, you’ll be responsible for providing an expert, proactive, customer-focused resourcing service to one or more council departments, leading the design and delivery of resourcing strategies whilst driving initiatives to attract top talent.

Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with the wider HR team and hiring managers to gain an understanding of organisational needs, resourcing requirements, and service challenges, equipping you with the necessary information to execute effective resourcing campaigns, whilst enhancing Southwark’s employer brand.

Accountable for the end-to-end advertising and selection process, you’ll provide hands-on support to hiring managers, which includes identifying advertising options, defining assessment/ selection processes, and developing talent pipelines for niche and hard to fill roles.

This is a busy, varied role, but you’ll strive to grow our reputation and keep our employer brand front and centre. To join us at this level, you’ll be able to evidence a strong recruitment/ resourcing background where you have delivered successful campaigns within a large complex organisation. You’ll also be adept at implementing inclusive recruitment practices to improve workforce diversity. And last but not least, you’ll know exactly how to provide a high-calibre resourcing service at a senior level.

By harnessing our individual and collective contributions, we have the power to create a better future for Southwark. Use your power to help us build a next generation workforce and a next generation council. Join us.
