The role
The Southwark Highways team has a record of delivery and it's the project support team to thank. The Senior Project Support Officer leads the team to work across Highways, whether new infrastructure, encouraging active travel, changing behaviour in workplaces and schools, or simply maintaining the roads and footways so they're safe to use.
We’re looking for candidates with a positive approach to solving problems, is happy working on a portfolio of projects and is comfortable driving innovation in how we do things.
You'll be happy building a team and managing the people to deliver excellent support services. From the systems we rely on, to in-person support at engagement events or focussed help with a tricky project or workstream.
You'll understand customer care and have experience interacting with the public in an advisory or problem-solving setting. With experience running workstreams across different projects and programmes, you'll be comfortable in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple workstreams to different audiences.
