The Role:

Southwark are committed to preventing rough sleeping and providing a rapid response, support and sustainable accommodation to ensure that people on the streets can move on with their lives. The ongoing work to end rough sleeping for good continues to be delivered via various rough sleeper specific initiatives in collaboration with various partners across the borough.

As a Senior Navigator within Housing Solutions Services you will manage a team of Navigators and Floating Support Officers providing support and move on to single people at imminent risk of rough sleeping and rough sleepers with support needs.

You will lead on the delivery of needs, risk assessments and move on, managing the day to day operations of the team ensuring that single customers are supported and rehoused into suitable and affordable accommodation that will meet their needs.

You will also continue to establish and maintain links with various partner agencies both internal and external to the Council to maximise opportunities for rough sleepers to access and benefit from these services to enable independent living and the sustainment of accommodation.

About You:

We are seeking dynamic and innovative individuals who can lead a team to deliver a high-quality customer focused front line service where co-ordinating support to address unmet needs and securing suitable accommodation is at the heart of what the team aim to achieve.

If you are self-motivated and enthusiastic with the skills to lead a team ensuring targets are exceeded through effective team development, motivation and management of a demanding frontline service, we would like to hear from you.

  • Secondment/Fixed Term Contract up to 31st March 2025
  • DBS required
