The Role:

The Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing (MEP) arm forms part of the Technical team and as Senior MEP Engineer you are responsible for the overseeing of capital projects, planned preventative maintenance, reactive service requests for CFM’s contractors and for ongoing professional MEP advice. Project and programme management is essential to ensure that projects for the division are delivered on time, within budget and with quality standards.

Working closely with you is a MEP Engineer and a Compliance Officer to ensure that Repairs & Maintenance services and projects are delivered in accordance with legislative and council requirements. They will further ensure all projects and services are supported, maintaining a demonstrable audit trail of compliance across the estate.

 

About You:

As a major part of the job is working closely with the members of the Technical team consisting of Building Surveyors, Project and Compliance officers and other FM stakeholders providing Mechanical , Electrical and Plumbing support - you will have a positive and proactive attitude with an ability to positively influence wider team members and clients within the council.

The role will require the appropriate qualifications, knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical and plumbing building services.

You will be confident and competent in producing and presenting reports and information clearly and succinctly. The Technical Team is made up of a small pool of professionals that work hard to make improvements to the Southwark built environment, therefore a strong commitment to helping the team reach its targets is vital.

 

Additional Information:

- 36 hours Monday - Friday

- Full time contract
