The role
Southwark are seeking Senior Investigators to join the Corporate Anti-Fraud Team, part of the Finance Professional Services.
The role is high profile and you will be responsible for conducting investigations across a spectrum of activity. Working closely with colleagues providing expertise and knowledge across the council. Contributing to policy and strategy.
You will be required to provide advice and guidance regarding fraud and corruption, undertake proactive and reactive investigations, develop relationships with key stakeholders, design and deliver Anti-Fraud, bribery and corruption training and awareness. You will be assisting the Corporate Anti-Fraud Team Manager and team to deliver the Council’s Anti-Fraud Plan and protocol.
About you:
We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with experience in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation in local government.
You will have excellent fraud knowledge with significant experience of conducting criminal investigations to prosecution standard. You will have knowledge of the law and codes of practices in relation to their lead investigations area and a good understanding of Public Sector developments in anti-fraud solutions.
