The SEND Team are responsible for providing parents, children, young people and external agencies with clear information on the Council’s SEND processes and services.

The SEND Team comprises of approximately 80+ staff who are responsible for the delivery of these services and each team member is responsible for ensuring high standards of customer care and focus maintained in all aspects of their work.

To be responsible for the day to day management of 3 EHCP Coordinators in the 5-14 Casework Team, overseeing the named officers for a group of schools within a locality and working as a team.

To ensure the use of key working principles in helping parents, carers, young people and professionals navigate the EHCP assessment and embed these within the team. To ensure that the casework of the team is carried out in line with statutory timelines.

Working knowledge and experience of working within the Special Educational Needs environment is required.
