The Role
Southwark’s Culture team is responsible for delivering a range of high profile services including library and heritage services, arts and events, youth and adventure play provision to the local community. It has a vibrant arts and events programme involving many local cultural organisations, a newly refreshed youth service offer and provides one of the highest performing library services across London.

An opportunity has arisen for recruitment to the post of Senior Contracts and Performance Officer to deal with contract and performance management across the Culture division. The post involves leading on the procurement and monitoring of all contracts including library stock supply contract, building maintenance contracts and lease agreements, managing all aspects of health and safety across the teams, compilation, monitoring and analysis of key performance data to inform service delivery, planning and development across cultural services.

About You:
As a senior member of the Culture team you will contribute towards the policy and planning to develop the services and deliver to key corporate plans and ensure performance management targets and objectives are met.
For this role we are looking for a confident and skilled person who can provide initiative and contribute ideas, with good analytical skills, an ability to foster partnership working, and deliver on projects, preferably with some experience of working in libraries or associated cultural services. Experience of using a library management database system would also be desirable.
Additional Information:
The role is full time 36 hours per week, with occasional weekend working as required. It is a permanent post.
