The role
The Role:
Southwark is a large, ambitious and progressive council with a ‘can do’ attitude and enviable reputation. We are ambitious and have a growth and regeneration agenda with plans to build 11,000 new council homes in the borough, in addition, major regeneration programmes are underway including the town centre regenerations in Elephant and Castle and Canada Water. These projects will encompass a mixture of major commercial and residential buildings and be valued at over three-billio pounds.
Predominantly you will be a technical specialist and will support the Business Support Manager and Building Control Inspectors. You will play a primary role in ensuring our performance standards, resources, and income are sufficient to sustain a world class building control service.
This is a permanent role.

About you
As one of Southwark’s lead technical experts, you will be an experienced Building Control Support Officer and be able to evidence continual professional development. We will support you to continue with your professional development.
You must have experience of working in a city context working in a building control service.
