About the Role:
Join Our Team as a Senior Area Facilities Officer!
Are you passionate about creating efficient, effective, and economic environments? Do you excel at building relationships and leading teams? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Area Facilities Officer to join our team and help us support modern ways of working within the council.
As a Senior Area Facilities Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch building-related facilities services across our operational buildings. Your work will ensure that these environments fully support the council's innovative ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of Facilities Officers to manage and influence services for over 150 non-housing buildings.
- Foster supportive and collaborative relationships with corporate facilities management teams, staff, and external contractors.
- Deliver a cost-effective, sustainable, and compliant operational program across the division's portfolio.
- Develop strong customer relationships and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met in both hard and soft services.
- Report directly to the FM Operations Manager on building compliance and manage a budget of up to £250k.
About You
We are seeking an individual who is confident, articulate, and a natural influencer. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will allow you to build strong customer relationships and work collaboratively within a team to achieve the best results.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of operational facilities management and statutory building compliance.
- Experience managing FM contracts in a large, multi-site organisation.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- A Health and Safety qualification (IOSH or equivalent) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
