The Role:

A new post has been created in the Education Directorate, SEND Team, to focus on the development of the Council offer for 16-25 year olds with SEN. The post will focus on developing the pathways to adulthood and provision for young people with SEND in this age phase with an emphasis on employment opportunities and supported internships. It will also include management of a small team of case officers working directly with families who have young people moving into preparation for adulthood. This will build on the success the team has had in enabling young people with SEND to transition to adult life and meet their long term outcomes.

About You:

You will have sufficient experience working with young people with SEND and their families and will hold NVQ level 4/5 qualifications . You will have experience of supervising staff and of commissioning services to meet needs. You will like working on new and innovative projects but also being part of a team. You will have excellent administrative and communication skills.

This is a permanent, full time post and is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
