The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Revenue Team Leader within Income Operations. We are now looking for experienced and innovative team Leaders to lead and influence a debt collection team (including enforcement agents), maximising revenue income and minimising arrears across the following revenue streams:
• Council Tax collection approx. £138m
• Council Tax & Business Rates arrears £71m
• Rent Debit £212m
• Business Rates collection £318m
• Recovery of HB overpayments £25m
• Sundry Debts £25m
• Business Improvement Districts £2m
Income collection in Southwark is challenging with nearly 36,000 council tenants and with the continued impacts of welfare reform and universal credit full service, the challenge has never been greater.
As one of 3 Team leaders reporting to an Operations Manager (Income), you will be customer focussed and have the ability to maximise income collection and inspire teams to deliver performance improvements.
