The role
The Revenue Service Charge Manager leads a small team responsible for the analysis of revenue spending on housing in order to construct revenue service charges, undertaking statutory consultation where required and liaising with service providers and with homeowners.
You will assist in developing robust systems, processes and practices to ensure that charges are accurate and reasonable, applying a keen eye for detail and your knowledge of housing services, accountancy principles and leasehold legislation to lead a team that is dedicated to making improvements.
You will have excellent communications skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with other Homeownership managers, service providers, stakeholders and the wider community in order to facilitate the delivery of high quality services that meet user needs.
This is a small team with responsibility for analysis of a wide range of costs. We aspire to improve our construction of charges through better use of technology and better liaison with the service providers who incur costs. You will be keen to contribute towards these through proactively identifying solutions and through effective liaison with colleagues across the council.
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with great attention to detail and excellent IT and data analysis/ manipulation skills. You will have extensive working knowledge of Service Charge construction in a local authority setting and be familiar with the legislation governing service charge construction and billing.
