The Role:
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an experienced qualified or part qualified accountant to join Southwarks Home Ownership Services team.
Leading a team of finance officers, you would be responsible for all matters relating to the construction of revenue service charges for the borough’s substantial portfolio of 17,000 leaseholder and freehold properties. With an approximate service charge value of £21m per annum this is a great opportunity be involved in the wide ranging services involved in the running of our estate and street property portfolio, ensuring that charges are accurate, fair and clear.
About You:
You are a qualified or part qualified accountant with experience working in a large organisation and dealing with service charges in a mixed tenure environment.
You have extensive knowledge in construction of service charges and have good knowledge surrounding leasehold legislation and governing leasehold tenure properties.
You have experience in managing, supporting and developing staff and have excellent communication skills.
