The Role

This important role in our Housing Department will lead Engineering & Compliance customer communications processes and practices through the development and implementation of an effective communications strategy utilising a range of channels including both digital and physical platforms. The role will also oversee thework of customer relationship officers, especially surrounding works to the council’s district heating systems and our drive towards net zero carbon.  The post holder will monitor customer care and relations and propose appropriate corrective action as required to achieve customer satisfaction.

About You:

- You will need to be a natural communicator with exceptional writing and organisational skills and a drive for service improvement. 

-You will be self-motivated and able to influence a wide range of stakeholders to embed change.  You will understand some of the technical aspects of the investment requirements while maintaining a ‘big picture’ view of the team’s projects and workstreams.  

-You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering communication strategies across a range of written and digital media. You will be able to manage staff and prioritise multiple projects and work streams, while keeping a firm view of the overall strategy.

-You may be required to work outside of normal office hours to attend resident and council meetings. Strong IT proficiency and previous experience in a similar role are essential.

Additional Information:

•    Full time position to join a growing team modernising and improving the council’s district heating service 
•    36 hours Monday – Friday, Full time
•    This is a x1 permanent position.
