The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing solutions service to provide essential services for our residents whom are in housing need.

This is a role that will be at the forefront of the prevention of homelessness, and at the cutting edge of innovation following the introduction of the Homelessness Act 2017.

The post holder will be required to lead on the prevention of homelessness by making full use of any available schemes and initiatives available to maximise income and/or opportunities such as meaningful employment or education or training.

This will include a personalised support service that will enable the customers to sustain a tenancy and address any other needs that are identified.

This will be delivered while also providing an efficient, high quality customer focused service for a diverse client group including vulnerable and disadvantaged households.

About You

- You should possess excellent administrative skills and work efficiently to ensure accuracy and attention to detail. You will be required to manage your workload and prioritise conflicting demands to meet deadlines.

- For this role you must be able to communicate confidently and effectively when dealing with the public, elected representatives and other key stakeholders.

- The post holder must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends.

Additional Information

- This is a Fixed term contract - Until the end of March 2024

- Standard 36 hours, Monday - Friday 

- DBS check is required

- If you are applying for the fixed-term post, this can be offered on a secondment basis. Please ensure you have prior agreement from your current line manage
