The Role:

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated multi skilled tradesperson with excellent communication skills to join our experienced Parks Repairs and Maintenance team working across Southwark parks and open spaces.

The Parks Repairs and Maintenance service is part of the Council’s team which helps maintain playgrounds and parks. You will be required to carry out small repairs (carpentry, painting, playground equipment repair and maintenance) and regular inspections within parks and open spaces. Use of IT to perform and record work.

About You:

The successful candidate will have a relevant trade i.e. Carpentry, Plumbing, Bricklaying etc… and at least 5 year’s experience in dealing with repairs or general maintenance work, experience of assessing repairs/minor adaptations, estimating on potential works, ordering of materials, and have excellent customer facing skills etc.

Additional salary details

- To inspect, repair or install fixed play equipment to specification.

- ROSPA accredited.

- Hours of work, Monday – Friday, 36 hours.
