The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Southwark Public Health Team as a Public Health Strategy Manager.  This post will work in the Health Improvement and Place team and be responsible for the development and implementation of key strategies for the team.  Currently, the focus is on effective delivery of the Sustainable Food Strategy 2023-26 with our food partnership and wider stakeholders. This post manages a Sustainable Food Policy Officer, oversees related commissioning tasks, and also manages the DfE funded Holiday Food and Fun programme and team of three.

The post will support the delivery of a sustainable, affordable and healthy food system for Southwark. Your work will help lead system change, drive effective partnership working, and deliver impactful programmes for the Southwark community.

About you:
We are looking for a talented and resilient individual, motivated to address inequalities in health and wellbeing and with relevant experience to help deliver on complex agendas such as that of the Sustainable Food agenda.
You must have strong leadership and management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders, in a dynamic and often political environment.

Additional Information:

-    36 hours Monday to Friday, Full time
-    This is a Permanent position 
-    Basic DBS check is required
