The Roles

Key areas of work will be programme support for the ‘Healthy Adults’ public health workstreams for sexual heath, mental health, tobacco control and older adults.

You will provide support to the public health team and the Council. You will work closely with other council departments and partners.

You will be based within a multi-disciplinary, enthusiastic and high functioning public health team with a strong culture of professional development.

The role involves programme support, financial skills and project administration. 

The Southwark Public Health Team are well regarded for our role in mentoring and supporting staff to advance their Public Health careers.

The post holder will be accountable to the Public Health Policy Officer for Sexual and Digital Health.

These roles will involve working with other members of the Public Health Division, wider council, partner commissioners and NHS.

About You

You must have excellent communication, project and programme administration and financial skills.

You will be highly organised and be comfortable working within a reactive environment. Working in a fast-paced, complex, political, outcomes-oriented and frequently challenging environment, the focus is on the delivery and management of multiple programmes and projects to high expectations within tight timescales.

A strong commitment to addressing the wider determinants of health and to tackle health inequalities is expected. 

Additional Information:

- Qualifications - suitable graduate-level qualification, or equivalent experience.

- Full time, permanent.

- DBS required
