Join us in transforming ICT for Southwark Children’s, Adults Families and Education Services
About us:
Southwark Children’s and Adults (ChAd) Systems team provides support for the IT systems used in Adults and Children’s Social Care, Education, Early Years and Family support.
We are more than a support service. The effective functioning of these systems is critical to the running of statutory services and supporting some of our most vulnerable residents. Systems help maximise the productivity of our frontline staff. Data for decision making that can have a multimillion pound impact on our budgets.
We have embarked on an ambitious programme of transformation with £1m + investment in systems development and transformation projects and £250K a year additional investment in staff.
We are now looking to recruit to a number of key roles to support the transformation programme and ensure we have the specialist skills and expertise to support our systems to be fit for the future as part of our Southwark 2030 vision.
This is an opportunity to be part of a major programme of improvement, hone your specialist skills and knowledge alongside our systems suppliers, our digital transformation and technology services and industry leading businesses such as Microsoft and Hitachi.

About you:
You will be an excellent communicator able to build relationships and confidence at all levels both internally and with external stakeholders and suppliers.
You will have well developed technical skills and experience of working in an Agile environment.
You will be an excellent team player with analytical and creative problem solving skills.
You will have a good understanding of the services in Adults or Children’s Social Care, Education, Early Years or Family Support and be familiar with the business processes.
You will understand the importance of good data management and be passionate about transformation and change to improve outcomes for staff and service users.
Experience of one or more of the following is essential (dependent on role) solid programme background, advanced SQL experience, database skills, developing and delivering training, project management, data and systems security, experience of Capita One Education, Mosaic or Synergy is an advantage.

Working arrangements:
Please note there is an expectation and requirement for staff to attend our main office at Tooley Street on a regular basis for face to face meetings.
