The Role:
The Building Safety Programme is the Council’s response to the Building Safety Act and the Fire Safety Act. As a building safety project manager you will have a key role in delivering some of our building safety objectives. Working across the team you will have a varied and interesting range of duties, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects across the Asset Management work streams of the Building Safety Programme, this includes planning, mobilisation, implementation and delivery. The post holder will ensure that these projects are delivered within financial, quality and scope constraints.

About you:
We are a new and growing team, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role, it’s essential that the post-holder have the knowledge and ‘hands-on approach and willingness to learn about Building Safety and the challenges around meeting the new requirements.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- A demonstrable understanding of building regulations and the requirements of the Building Safety legislation
- Excellent project management knowledge and experience with ability to write clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work on own initiative, effectively prioritise and meet deadlines when faced with conflicting priorities, and undertake dependencies across the Building Safety Programme by chairing the Operational Group and by co-ordinating other meetings between work stream leads.
- Able to influence and negotiate effectively and able to deal with conflict calmly and professionally and build and maintain appropriate and effective business relationships at all level.
- Able to analyse, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, manage budget cost and quality targets.
- Ability to analyse and evaluate management information, producing detailed and highlight reports and presentations of findings.
