The Role:

We have an opportunity to recruit a Project Manager to join our Asset Management Team working within the Major Works Team. The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and motivation for a multi-disciplinary major works delivery and project team comprising professional designers, project staff, engineers, customer-facing staff, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate high levels of service delivery.

- Manages customer expectations and achieves agreed standards of quality, workmanship, and customer focus.

- To lead and manage borough-wide and /or area-based contracts, Monitor and control the expenditure of all delegated Capital and revenue budgets for investment Programmes.

- To manage, motivate, supervise, develop, and support all staff within the remit of the post-holder.

- Participate and contribute to the wider development of the borough and Residents' Service through liaison with the Area management team and other stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will require:

- Develop, co-ordinate and implement a customer focused, well designed and cost-effective Investment Programme, schemes and work packages, working with Asset Management team, and including procurement of contractors and consultants as necessary.

- To be responsible for the performance of borough wide and Area Housing investment based schemes and work packages and to ensure financial control.

- To co-ordinate with associated work programmes such as planned preventative maintenance, voids, regeneration projects and ad-hoc projects.

- To ensure appropriate monitoring systems are in place and to prepare reports for Senior Management, Cabinet and Area Forums as required.

- Responsible for the overall delivery of all individual projects, schemes or work packages.

- Manage Quality Control issues for individual projects and make appropriate recommendations for change.

- Leads on residents’ consultation process for proposed works packages.

- Oversees the detailed programming of contracts and work packages.

This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
