The role

2 Year Apprenticeship

Southwark is a diverse and dynamic borough in the heart of London. As a council, we are ambitious and progressive with a ‘can do’ attitude, working to deliver the best outcomes for our residents.

We have an exciting opportunity for two Project Management Higher Apprentices to join the Chief Executive’s Office.

You will be helping to deliver high profile projects designed to ensure high quality services and to support Southwark's local economy.

Projects could include working with local businesses, creating programmes to help people into work or supporting the council’s change and transformation strategy following the impact of COVID-19.

You will develop strong project management skills and gain hands-on experience of all aspects of project management, as well as achieving a formal qualification.

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard. This offers an excellent route into the project management profession and a wide range of other careers requiring project management skills.

About you:

We are looking for someone who is well organised, can communicate well with a wide range of people, and has an interest in social, economic and political issues. You will also need to be committed to completing a two-year work and study programme.

You will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A to C including maths and English, and 2 A levels. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and there is no upper age limit to apply.
