The role

The Procurement Team is part of the Commissioning Division for Children’s and Adults Services.  The team sits alongside our Contract Management, Strategic Programmes and Systems Support Teams as part of the Quality, Performance and Transformation function and also works closely with Commissioning.  . 

The procurement officers play a key role in managing all stages of the process for the allocated contracts including market development, supplier engagement, running tenders and selection processes and drafting contracts.  The procurement team for Children's and Adults services tenders a wide range of services for adults and children in Southwark many of which are complex and high value and delivering statutory services to our residents.

About You

You will have a good knowledge of procurement and ideally a relevant qualification, you must have experience of procuring within a local government children's and adults context and a good understanding of the needs to our residents  You will be flexible and able to prioritise your own workload as well as having a good eye for detail.
