The Role
Southwark’s private rented sector is increasing in size year on year and a growing number of tenants and landlords require advice and support to ensure their rights and responsibilities are observed and protected. Southwark is committed to building resilience within and raising standards across the private rented sector and preventing homelessness wherever possible.
Many tenants need urgent support and intervention against potential offences of harassment and illegal eviction. To ensure we continue to provide an innovative and high profile homeless prevention service, we are seeking dynamic Private Rented Sector Prevention Housing Solutions Officers to join our team.
Our successful candidates will be collaborative, knowledgeable in landlord and tenant law and have the skills to effectively mediate and resolve tenancy problems through desk based work and visits. You will possess excellent problem solving skills to deliver results in a fast paced and often pressurised work environment.
