Our Summerhouse Behaviour Support Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Premises Manager to join our amazing team and help make a difference today!

About the Role:

This full-time role is vital in ensuring that our school buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and fit for purpose for the children and staff who use them every day. You’ll manage day-to-day maintenance, liaise with contractors, carry out minor repairs, and lead cleaning and site safety arrangements. You’ll also support the wider team with site security, transport, health and safety compliance, and pupil wellbeing in a busy and rewarding educational environment.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in high standards and brings initiative and practical experience to the role.

You should have:

  • A recognised trade qualification or relevant experience in premises or site management
  • Training or strong experience in at least one of the following: plumbing, electrical, heating, or general maintenance
  • Strong DIY and maintenance skills with the ability to carry out and prioritise tasks independently
  • Experience using online helpdesk systems (e.g. Manhattan/Trimble) to report and track works
  • Confidence communicating with contractors, staff, and the wider facilities team
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment processes
  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (Essential Car User)

About the Team:

Summerhouse Behaviour Support Service works with Southwark primary schools to support children with emotional and behavioural needs. We provide both outreach and part-time on-site provision, creating a calm, supportive environment where children can thrive.

As Premises Manager, you’ll play an important part in this mission—ensuring the physical environment reflects the care, structure, and professionalism we offer. You’ll be supported by a skilled and passionate team, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing improvements and development.
