The role
The role is that of a grade 9 Pre-Assignment Officer which sits in the Pre-Assignments team, Business Systems within the Homeownership Services.
To respond to enquiries raised by homeowners and their representatives engaged in property sales or re-mortgages.
To manage the council’s responses and back office processes to ensure they are robust in accordance with the relevant legislation, data protection policies and the council’s business plan.
To be a point of contact for queries and advice, externally and internally concerning information provided by the council to home owners who are selling or re-mortgaging.
To secure outstanding service charge payments and future liabilities using landlord and tenant, administrative, financial, legislative and interpersonal skills to deliver services.
To ensure that services are innovative and quality driven and:
- are responsive to customer needs and service requirements
- demonstrate clear corporate direction, vision and style within the statutory framework
- achieves effectiveness and efficiency in operation
- understands the legislative framework so as to be able to set procedures to maximise income
To assist with the delivery of the Council’s modernise objectives within Homeownership Services, including digital and systems transformation, and modern ways of working in accordance with the Council’s business plan.
