About the Team:

Our teams are made up of friendly, dedicated, and experienced professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact. We operate an Independence Hub, led by a Team Manager and supported by Personal Advisors, who regularly engage with our 21+ adults, offering practical support to care-experienced adults.

We also run the Talfourd Place Hub, a project that is developing workshops, external services, with group activities to serve and support care-experienced young people and adults. Additionally, we have an Age Assessment service that tracks milestones to ensure unaccompanied children and young people receive the support they need.

About the Role:

You will provide comprehensive and confidential business support within the Care and Care Leaver Service for the above. Your responsibilities will include setting up and managing data tools, tracking outcomes, supporting activities, screening referrals liaising with the finance service to monitor activity. The role will include support to our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children. You will also support colleagues in maintaining and developing systems, alongside other administrative tasks as directed by the Service/Team Manager and Head of Service.

You will be responsible for setting up and tracking data related to Freedom of Information requests, such as citizenship status and applications. Additionally, you will provide project support for targeted research and innovation aimed at improving our services. IT support, data production, and the preparation of reports and meeting papers in formats such as Excel and PowerPoint will also be part of your role.

Your role will be to:

  • Gather and collate data, providing analysis to demonstrate the team’s performance and the effectiveness of work with children and care leavers aged 16-25.

  • Review cases assigned to the Virtual Duty Worker, report on them by providing cohort data to the manager, enabling appropriate case allocation or closure when a service is no longer requested or as individual’s age out.
  • Distribute newsletters and other information regularly and as needed to identified cohorts of young people, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Track the number of care leavers returning to the service, monitor the completion of their assessments, and oversee their subsequent allocation.
