The role:

We are recruiting for a Post 16 Education, Employment and Training (EET) Officer to join our small team supporting us to collate and track information on the education, employment or training destinations for 16 and 18 year olds in-year 12 and 13. Provide careers advice, information and guidance for NEET young people to empower them to achieve a sustainable EET destination.

Your role would help to safeguard young people through destination tracking and minimising the number of children aged 16 and 17 in-year 12 and 13 whose activity is not known by liaising with internal and external departments and undertake database cross-referencing to obtain quality assured data, in addition to home visits and other channels to track and trace the participation of 16 to 18 year olds in-year 12 and 13.

Any successful candidate would need to be dedicated to Southwark’s Fairer Future Values while working within the Southwark Post 16 Service.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, committed, and confident in managing client interventions and data accuracy to strict deadlines. An experienced communicator in careers advice and guidance and client progress data management. 

You will have an understanding of the legislation and challenges relating to empowering young people to overcome barriers to achieve their participation in education, employment with training.

Be a good team player and support the team’s work to respectfully manage the flow of large volumes of data and conduct the spring term home visit door knocking exercise in pairs to identify the not known cohort.
